Emergency Relief for Haiti: January 2010
www.12hoursoflife.com

The rescue of 1,000 children is now underway.  Funds are needed for blankets, food and medical supplies.  We are gathering the children from Port-aux-Prince and walking to Duval and La Grange schools.

Roger sends a message.

"Our house is down, we lost everything, we are in the street.  Help.  There are 2 million residents in the Delmar Slums.  Some 25,000 are in the street of Port-aux-Prince and in need."

Haiti is the poorest country in the world!

The far west region of Haiti has been the focus of Carlton's work in the past few years.

Partner projects are in place with the The Baptist Union Mission and the Christian Reformed Mission through Nelson Avenue Community Church in Burnaby and Trinity Lutheran Church in Leader, Saskatchewan.

Carlton has made 10 journeys into the Far West.

The smiles of the children, their laughter and their songs.  Their deep needs are what keeps bringing Carlton back.

Seeds for farmers, food survival packs, emergency medical relief following the hurricanes of 2006, 2007 and 2008, lunch programs in La Baie & La Grange, child sponsorship, the building of schools.

La Baie School completed in November 2008, La Grange School Sept completed in 2009, Duval School (September 2009), Vion School (Jan 2010), Dr. Renaud's Clinic in Port-aux-Prince are now complete.
